Curaçao Wins “Best Tourist and Business Destination in Latin America” at WOCA 2025

PARIS - The Government of Curaçao in collaboration with the Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency (CINEX) is proud to announce that the island has received the World Company Award (WOCA) 2025 as the Best Tourist and Business Destination in Latin America, a recognition it shares with Brazilian aerospace leader Embraer. The award was presented in Paris during an international ceremony celebrating business excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.

The honor was accepted on behalf of the Government and the Prime Minister of Curaçao by H.E. Mr. Carlson Manuel, Minister Plenipotentiary of Curaçao, who addressed the audience in a keynote acceptance speech.

“This award is more than a celebration of our island’s beauty, it is a statement of Curaçao’s emerging strength in tourism, business, and investment,” Minister Manuel stated. “It confirms that Curaçao is not only admired for its natural charm, but also respected as a rising force in global commerce.”

The selection of Curaçao for this award followed a business mission to Brazil, during which CINEX delivered a effective presentation to industry leaders and institutional stakeholders. The WOCA committee members were particularly impressed by Curaçao’s consistent growth in the tourism sector and its expanding portfolio of investment-ready opportunities.

“After CINEX’s presentation, there was no doubt,” a WOCA committee member remarked during the handover. “Curaçao’s potential was undeniable. It was not just about beaches or resorts, it was about a country with vision, momentum, and the right institutions in place to drive lasting partnerships.”

CINEX has played an important role in promoting Curaçao internationally, aligning the country’s strategic sectors with global interest. Through high-impact missions, targeted investor matchmaking, and active participation in global summits, CINEX continues to elevate Curaçao’s position as a gateway between Latin America and the Caribbean.

This year alone, Curaçao will host the 2025 edition of Forum Mulher, one of Brazil’s premier platforms for women in business and leadership. The event is organized with the local support of CINEX and the Curaçao Tourist Board, and underscores the growing synergy between the Brazilian and Curaçaoan business communities. Curaçao is also attracting attention in the hospitality and real estate sectors and will feature prominently at CHICOS 2025, the Caribbean Hotel Investment Conference & Operations Summit, taking place this November.

CINEX is more than an agency, it is a catalyst. It is a tool the people of Curaçao can rely on to connect local businesses with international partners and investors who are genuinely interested in sustainable collaboration and in sourcing our products and services.

Looking ahead, Curaçao invites the international community to the Curaçao International Investment Summit (CIIS) from December 3–5, 2025, where investors, innovators, and leaders will gather to explore the island’s full spectrum of opportunities.
