WILLEMSTAD – The luxury cruise ship Explora II, operated by Explora Journeys, made its inaugural visit to Curaçao today, docking at the Mega Pier Ernest Jackie Voges. The ship, built in 2024, measures 248 meters (814 feet) in length, has a gross tonnage of 63,900 GT, and accommodates up to 922 passengers.
To mark this milestone visit, a plaque exchange ceremony was held between the ship's captain and Curaçao's Minister of Traffic, Transport, and Spatial Planning, and Acting Minister of Economic Development, Charles Cooper. Representatives from the Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), Curaçao Tourism Bureau (CTB), shipping agent Maduro, and Customs were also present.
The Explora II is currently on a 17-day Caribbean cruise, which commenced on February 8, 2025, in Miami, Florida, and will conclude on February 25, 2025, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The cruise itinerary includes visits to multiple exotic destinations:

February 12 – Cozumel, Mexico
February 13 – Costa Maya, Mexico
