WILLEMSTAD - The Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Lucille George-Wout, visited Corendon The Rif Resort on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. She was welcomed by Corendon's founder and CEO in charge of Hotels & Resorts, Atilay Uslu.
During the visit, Mr. Uslu gave a comprehensive overview of Corendon's plans for this year in Curaçao, including the construction of the Mondi Beach Club at The Rif Resort. This club will open its doors to the public later this year.
Uslu stated during the visit that Corendon owns four hotels in Curaçao (Mangrove Resort, The Rif Resort, Livingstone Resort, and Ritz Village) with a total of 1,100 rooms, employing 900 people in total. Through this, the company significantly contributes to the island's economy.
After the discussion, the Governor and her delegation were given a tour of the hotel grounds, including the location where the Mondi Beach Club is being built, as well as the mangrove forest adjacent to the hotel.
During the two-hour visit, the Governor was accompanied by her husband, Herman George, the Director of the Governor's Cabinet, Peter Benschop, Deputy Director Rishma Gainda, and the Governor's adjutant, Glenn Werleman.
