WILLEMSTAD - Marella Explorer 2 from the cruise company Marella Cruises visited Curaçao for the first time.

During an inaugural ceremony, representatives of Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), Curaçao Tourism Bureau (CTB), S.E.L. Maduro & Sons (agent) and the captain of the ship exchanged placards to celebrate the important moment for both the ship itself and for Curaçao.

The ship has a gross tonnage of 71,545 (GT) and has a maximum capacity of 2,000 cruise passengers. Remarkable about this ship is that it is intended for "adults only"; therefore only adults of 18 years and older are allowed.
