Marriot to get part of public beach

WILLEMSTAD - After a new measurement of the ground lease of the Marriott Hotel on Piscadera Bay, it appears that part of the public beach known as the Sonesta beach is also part of the Marriott.

This means that part of the Sonesta beach will become part of the hotel.

This was confirmed by the Minister of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning (VVRP), Zita Jesus-Leito. She assures, however, that there is enough public beach left for the general public. However, the palapas will have to be moved. Now the Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort is closed due to a thorough renovation.
