Mitsui Ocean Fuji Makes First Visit to Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD – The Mitsui Ocean Fuji, a luxury cruise ship offering only suite accommodations, formerly sailing under a different name and now operated by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, arrived today, March 13, 2025, at the Mega Pier Ernest Jackie Voges for its first call in Curaçao under its new identity. 

The occasion was marked by a plaque exchange ceremony between the ship's captain and representatives of the Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), Maduro Shipping, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), and Customs. 

The Mitsui Ocean Fuji, catering to discerning travelers seeking exclusive and immersive experiences, arrived with 278 guests. Additionally, the Club Med 2, a luxury sailing cruise ship, also called at Curaçao with 288 guests on board. 

The presence of these two ships in the harbor highlights Curaçao’s role as a key maritime destination, attracting a diverse range of visitors and offering unique experiences tailored to various travel preferences. 

This inaugural visit underscores Curaçao’s growing position as a maritime hub and strengthens collaboration with international shipping companies.
