We regret the delay that occurred on a Corendon flight to the Netherlands and that we were unable to provide the experience our passengers are accustomed to prior to departure. We sincerely apologize to the passengers affected by this situation.
Flight CD598 departed this morning at 06:30 to Amsterdam. It goes without saying that Corendon, together with aircraft owner World2Fly and ground handler Swissport at Hato, will thoroughly investigate what exactly happened and evaluate the situation in detail. Safety is the number one, two, and three priority in aviation. An aircraft will only depart once all stringent conditions have been met.
Facts: Due to an earlier technical issue and the deployment of a replacement aircraft, flight CD598 from Curaçao Hato to Amsterdam Schiphol experienced a delay at departure, partly caused by mandatory crew rest times.
Shortly before departure, an issue arose with the ground equipment at the airport, preventing the air conditioning system from being started at the gate. As a result, passengers were disembarked because the cabin became too warm. After some time, passengers were able to reboard, and the flight departed.
