TUI Fly to Discontinue Direct Flights from Brussels to Curaçao in Winter 2025

WILLEMSTAD – TUI Fly has announced that it will cease long-haul flights from Brussels Airport starting winter season 2025-2026, directly impacting Curaçao as one of its affected destinations. The decision means that TUI will no longer offer direct flights from Brussels to Curaçao, with travelers needing to rely on other routes.

Arjan Kers, Managing Director of TUI Belgium and the Netherlands, confirmed the decision, explaining that the airline currently has only one Boeing 787 Dreamliner operating long-haul flights from Brussels. "That is not enough to keep operations sustainable," Kers stated.

The change will take effect in early November 2025 and will also affect other popular long-haul destinations such as Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) and Cancun (Mexico). Instead of operating its own direct flights, TUI will focus on medium-haul flights from Brussels, while long-haul flights will be consolidated elsewhere within the TUI airline network. Belgian travelers looking to fly long-distance, including to Curaçao, will have to book via partner airlines or depart from nearby airports like Schiphol in the Netherlands.

This development follows TUI Netherlands' earlier move in 2024 when it took over one of the two Dreamliners from TUI Belgium. With the final Boeing 787 (OO-JDL) now being removed from the Belgian fleet, TUI fly Belgium will operate only Boeing 737 and Embraer E195-E2 aircraft moving forward.

The decision marks a significant shift for travelers between Belgium and Curaçao, as those accustomed to direct flights from Brussels will now need to explore alternative routes.
