Trinidad and Tobago shaken by 4.2 magnitude earthquake

earthquakePORT OF SPAIN - Trinidad and Tobago was rattled by a 4.2 magnitude earthquake late last night.

The Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the St. Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI), said the quake occurred around 11:34 p.m., about 22 kilometres northwest of San Fernando, 24 kilometres south of Port of Spain, and 36 kilometres southwest of Arima.

It struck at a depth of 40 km.

However, there were no reports of any damage or injury.
