Two Dutch persons rescued off the coast of Colombia

ORANJESTAD - Two Dutch persons who were on a yacht to Aruba, were rescued by the Colombian Coast Guard after their boat, the Utopia, had engine trouble and had gotten unmanageable. Thereby threatening the boat to perish due to the weather.

The Coast Guard announced today that the two were picked up from the Caribbean Sea off the north coast near Santa Marta, about 700 kilometers north of the capital, Bogota. The Utopia was also saved. The boat could be dragged into a naval shipyard where it has since been repaired, so the Dutch persons were able to continue their journey.
