Local consultants participate in workshop to export their services, organized by MarkStra Caribbean

MarkStra TLa Cruz workshop med jun2018WILLEMSTAD - About 30 consultants from Curacao and St. Maarten recently participated in a workshop on exporting professional services organized by Markstra Caribbean. The workshop, facilitated by Tamira La Cruz, MBA, was geared towards making the consultants aware of the opportunities to export their services through multilateral donors like the European Union, World Bank and the InterAmerican Bank. It is estimated that overseas development assistance to the Caribbean reaches USD 1 billion annually. Much of it is funded by multilateral donors, and often Curacao providers of professional business services (consultants, engineers, etc.), as part of the Dutch Kingdom, qualify to tender or participate in the projects.

The next step is for the consultants to receive export coaching by Ms. La Cruz, who is an export coach on behalf of Netherlands Enterprise Agency,RVO, and who has worked with many international consulting agencies to provide technical assistance in the greater Caribbean region.

The event was supported by COSME, an EU-funded programme to support SME and Curacao Innovation and Technology Institute, CITI. For more information, follow Tamira La Cruz on LinkedIn or contact
