Sharelly Emanualson back in the Netherlands

MoscowTHE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao born documentarist Sharelly Emanuelson and three other Dutch citizens who were arrested in the Murmansk, Russian on suspicion of homosexual propaganda are back in the Netherlands. Today they landed at Schiphol, says GroenLinks party leader in Groningen, Mattias Gijsbertsen, who also belonged to those who were arrested. The four are doing well according to Gijsbertsen.

Gijsbertsen cannot confirm reports that the four may not enter Russia for three years because they violated their visa requirements. A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cannot confirm this either, according to Novum.

Among the four Dutch who were arrested in Murmansk, were the Curaçao born Sharelly Emanuelson and Kris van der Veen, town councilor for GroenLinks in Groningen and chairman of a foundation that fights for the rights of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people. The four were working on a documentary for which they interviewed people about sexuality.
