Training course for derailed youth

SVT-large-416x313WILLEMSTAD – 36 students started the Social Shaping Trajectory (SVT) to improve their lives at the naval barracks at Suffisant this week. For five months, the Curaçao Militia and the Marine Corps will give these youths instructions. Most of the participants have a history of crime and / or drug abuse.

After the training, the 36 participants will flow into a regular course. "The robust military approach, lessons and intensive social care of the SVT will ensure that these young people have a solid foundation to begin this training," the Defense indicated. At the port there was a pre selection already; of the 60 young people who volunteered, 36 were admitted.
