Smart suitcases may be banned
AMSTERDAM - KLM may refuse smart suitcases as hold baggage. The company is currently researching this, now that several American Airlines are doing the same.
Smart suitcases have a battery with which phones can be charged or GPS systems can be supplied with power. From January 15, American Airlines will no longer take it from Curaçao. The worldwide, umbrella organization of aviation companies, IATA may also set rules.
