Lower occupancy in February


WILLEMSTAD - In February the Curacao hotels were for more than three quarters full, about 76.3 percent. This was reported by the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA). The occupation was thus more than 3 percentage points lower than the same month in 2013. The occupancy rate was measured at 79.4 percent in January 2012.

This is a preliminary figure and is based on information provided by eight resorts / hotels, which together account for 1,696 rooms.

CHATA also reports that both the Average Daily Rate (ADR), 170.88 dollars, is below the level of 174.57 dollars in February 2013, and that the RevPar (Revenue per Available Room), 130.35 dollars is also slightly lower than twelve months earlier (138.53 dollars).
