Travelzoo successfully presents “What’s Trending?” on 2nd day of Marketing Retreat Week

CHATAWILLEMSTAD - CHATA Member Marriott successfully hosted the 2ndday of the Marketing Retreat Week with a Breakfast Meeting sponsored by our partner and member Maduro & Curiel’s Bank.

Travelzoo, an internationally trusted publisher of travel deals, held a presentation on what’s trending in travel lately.  Travelzoo’s Angela Tablac presented Travelzoo’s findings on research conducted in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, the UK and Spain. The research was conducted as to figure out which destinations come to mind of the travelers from the aforementioned countries when considering the Caribbean.

Furthermore, Tablac provided attendees with valuable information on what is trending amongCHATA1 travelers seeking to visit the Caribbean. The information was directed to tourism product development and Hospitality product marketing. In terms of tourism product promotion Travelzoo indicated that Curaçao should intensively market its uniqueness, according to Tablac Curaçao should focus on its unique European feel and promote the island as such.

In terms of hospitality product marketing, a vast majority of travelers wanting to visit the Caribbean are seeking a Sun, sea and sand experience while 71% of those who indicated their preference for sun sea and sand wish to combine it with an all-inclusive experience.
